Entry Level Civil Engineer - New Orleans, LA (M20110725-01)
Job Responsibilities:
- Engineer is to be responsible for the development and implemenation of all civil design requirements for projects.
- Knowledge of specifications, design drawings and related civil calculations.
- Ability to adapt to client specifications.
- Preparation and review of civil calculations, construction drawings, drainage, grading and facilities.
- Preparation and review of quantities.
- Conceptual, preliminary and final design of facilities.
- Strong prioritization and planning skills.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
- Coordination and periodic direction of designers and drafters for coordinated design drawings.
Educational Requirement:
- Four year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Job Responsibilities:
- Experience with bulk material handling facilities and/or industrial facilities are preferred.
- Effectively plan, schedule, and manage multiple electrical projects and provide technical support to operations and team members.
- Expertise with power systems design, 15KV/5KV power distribution, equipment and protective relaying, structural grounding, and lightning protection.
- Conduct power studies, determine and evaluate flow values, short circuit levels, and protective device co-ordinations of electrical distribution utilizing software such as Easy Power and SKM.
- Upgrade electrical installations to comply with NFPA 70, 70E and IEEE specification, standards, and recommended practices.
- Preparation and review of electrical system calculations, construction drawings depicting equipment locations, wiring, tray layouts, supports, lighting, electrical buildings, and facilities.
- Preparation and review project/client specifications and requirements; provide alternatives and recommendations as required.
- Preparation and review of electrical drawings, construction packages, and electrical area classification drawings.
- Demonstrated experience preparing project cost estimates.
- Support and assist field engineering teams during construction, test and commissioning.
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in ABET Accredited Program.
- At least 10 years of progressive work experience on industrial projects.
- P.E. registration is preferred.
